This chess trap in the Caro Kann Advance variation, illustrates the danger of following book moves, without due regard what your oponent is doing. 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 Bf5 4.h4!? e6?? and there’s no escape for Black’s poor light-square Bishop. This trap claimed 71 victims in one month on the FICS website, so it’s well worth being aware of!
