Learning From Kasparov’s Mismatched Game

Garry Kasparov provides us with a fantastic example of taking advantage of a superior position to gain tempos. In this analysis, we focus on understanding the subtle ways that piece trade offerings can improve your position, and earn you tempos. Another important theme in this video is delaying a recapture (zwischenzug) in order to gain positional advantages as well as providing the opponent with more opportunities to make bad moves. Note: I’ve checked it out, and I have found that J Nunn is a British grandmaster who has authored several chess books, and won chess puzzle competitions. He isn’t Garry Kasparov, but he is certainly an amazing chess mind. Note: This video is not intended to be an advanced chess analysis video.
