In a heavywieght clash of free and paid Chess engine titans, Houdini 2.0 standard is performing well, with an estimated ELO of 3016+; a modest rise compared to version 1.5.
At present, the recently published commercial chess engine Houdini 2.0 standard leads Komodo, Rybka, Critter and Stockfish. The tournament, which also includes Naum, Shredder, Gull and Sjeng is still proceeding, with results being updated on a regular basis.
